Anyone know what the going rate is to lay a wood floor in east of england area?! I'm going to call round for some quotes, but I reckon it's got to be worth paying to have someone in. All materials will be supplied.

Anyone?

Save me from the OH cussing and swearing and potentially chopping a limb off?
Is it laminate?

No its oiled engineer oak (like I know what that is!). I just want a rough idea of how much I should pay per m3 to lay it so I know I am not being ripped off. And I want it done sooner rather than later because it is all stacked up in front of my effing piano.

Thanks Trim, I'll give them a call. I am planning on getting the OH out of the house for a day or two and just having it done - mainly because I can't stand the stress of him doing it (and to be fair, he has done quite a lot lately).

My bro has just texted me another lead so with your link and his, I am sure I am able to work it out.

Now I just need to surreptitiously order the skirting to match and arrange all this.......................

(PS the new flooring in the living room is his birthday present from last year. Unfortunately, his b-day is next month so I am playing "catch up").
