Is there any organisation in Britain, preferably south England, who for a donation will plane silver birches where they are needed. We have a friends silver wedding coming up, they don't want presents, but are keen on trees and the environment. There garden is too small to plant large trees'

Why don't you talk to your local council environment dept, they might put some in your parks.
The Woodland Trust might be worth a try http://www.woodlandtr...ult.aspx#.To3To8lazSY
As Lanscaper says the Woodland trust. I think they give you a certificate and location of your trees.
