When is the best time to move a Pieris-Forest Flame, please? I've several in the garden and want to move one of them to a spot where we dug out a rhododendron which was past its best and got damaged during last winter. Grateful for any advice.

I have moved a small one one in summer because I had to but general advice is to wait until its a little chillier and the plant is going dormant. Take as big a rootball as you can.

Thank you, woofgang. It's quite chilly here in Scotland right now!!
I'd do it now.
Pieris are already pretty dormant. Will give it a month or so to get settled before the really cold weather.
