Does anyone know if Tukey uses the same threads on basin wastes as we do please?
We have an apartment and want to take over some new taps and pop up wastes in January as they only seem to have crude wastes with a rubber bung.
They look similar but dont use a rigid trap. They have a convoluted tube that connects to the basin waste with the usual screw collar. Looks similar but I cannot find any reference to it anywhere.

Middle East .. like Far East uses all sorts of rubbish to connect up wastes and supplies. Many are just plastic.
You have top make up your mind to use solely UK products (which their stuff is not designed to accept) or stick with their better stuff)
The world is not mix-n match I'm afraid.
France has some terrible fittings .. flexi tails on everything .. crap fill valve entries on loos .. crap taps, etc. Turkey is going to be the same.

hi mjwman,had to wait to speak to a mate who is a plumber and now lives in Turkey and he says the fittings are completely different than here so I don't think you will have much luck mixing them if that's what you want to do and also I can remember buying taps years ago that were not made in this country and the holes inside the taps were hopeless for uor water pressure but you can always try them and if they are no good fetch them back,buy them from a good plumbers merchant not a DIY store,good luck
