Repacing a Roof Tile
4 Answers
Hi,
I have today lost a roof tile following the storms here in Scotland. I am going on holiday this weekend for 10 days. In the event i am unable to get this replaced in the next 2 days, do I risk a major event by not replacing this immediately or will it be okay for a couple of weeks? I have recovered the tile and just need to find someone to replace it.
Thanks!

You'd be surprised at how many houses have odd slates missing. In the short term, you'll possibly get a little water in the roofspace. Nothing to worry about for a while.

Thank you builder! My house is old but the whole roof was re-roofed about 6 years ago and it's in pretty good nick! I am covered under an emergency home repair policy I pay into and I hope to have it repaired before the weekend however Scotland has been battered (and still is) by storms! Your answer reassures me somewhat because my repair may be down the bottom of a long list for the repair company! Thank you!
