I have a new Amaryllis which has grown very tall but there is no sign of a flower yet. Also I have two from last year growing well but again no sign of a flower. I water frequently. Should I be feeding them or does anyone know why there are no sign of a flower? Has anyone any experience of growing these?
Thank you.

I was given one for Christmas which is flowering well - the instructions say to water sparingly, and to keep it cool. Perhaps you're overwatering.

Does it have a central stem coming out from the leaves? if it has no buds on it it is possible it failed to form them last year...

Thanks boxtops and rowanwitch-it could be over watering. The new one has grown very tall and the old ones from last year growing leaves but no sign of flower. Should I be feeding them? I`ll try less water.
