I've got half a dozen bone china tea mugs (Queens China) they're v/posh and a pleasure to hand someone a tea in but.. they are becoming tea stained, I put 'em in the dishwasher but it doesn't remove it. Has anyone any tips how to get rid of the stains, without using an abrasive.
Is there a commercial product I can buy?

I would try denture cleaning tablets- they are cheap in such as Poundland, Home Bargains etc. I use them for stain removal around the house.

soak in steradent or equivalent half a tablet and fill the cup with hot water leave overnight rinse sorted!
I used to use Astonish Tea and Coffee stain remover but then found that if I pinched one of OH's Steradent, it worked just as well.
I put any of my stained mugs in a bit of bleach topped up to the top with water jemisa. leave for a bit and the stains disappear! easy peasy

I go with the toothpaste/tablet....
I use Cif.
I soak them in Milton
After reading your post jemisa, I popped all 6 mugs that look at bit grotty into very mild bleach! And hey, their shining like a new penny, no rubbing etc
Bleach has got to be easiest and quickest way to clean mugs x.
Steradent or equivalent in the Pound shop. break into 4 bits and use one bit for each cup lave overnight .
yes I agree bleach brings them up lovely and shiny
Remember to wash the mugs in plenty of hot soapy water and rinse in cold after using bleach, the smell of bleach tends to linger.
Cillit Bang - lime and grime. One spray and wipe round inside of cup with a non-scratch scouring sponge. Magic! This stuff is really good for lots of cleaning. Don't forget to rinse well....
fill with water and then soda crystals stick spoons in too, come out shining.
Dishwasher tablet dissolved in water. I remember using bleach on stained crockery. They tasted of bleach afterwards. Had to buy a bottle of Milton and soak over night before the taste?smell went away.
Just remember that there is no cleaning agent in bleach, it will however turn the brown stains white.
