Do you mean a shower tray?
I smell an advert coming up shortly.
The terminology suggests this has been posted in the USA.
Well, given that this is a genuine post....which doubt has been cast on....

The secret of success lies in making a completely stable base for the shower tray, using cement and blocks if needed;
using a good waterproof coating such as BAL systems, or waterproof plasterboard, as a base for the tile;
and I'd suggest planning ahead so that you are using well-supported wallboard that is at 90 degrees to the floor and if appropriate a 90 degree angle into which the shower will sit.

Most walls and floors in the UK are not level, not at 90 degrees to each other, and 'every little helps' to make your shower leak if you don't check this.
Call me a cynic Mosaic but, if you've 'remodeled' a few showers already you are hardly likely to require 'instruction for good shower pan installation'.
Nevertheless your own credentials for undertaking this seem impeccable.
