We bought a ceiling fan/light last year from Homebase.
The glass shade on one of the fans has broken. Homebase say they do not do replacement shades!! Anyone got any ideas? We no longer have the receipt. Any useful link? I found this one
http://ceilingfanspares.co.uk/
In Homebas they have a sign up which says "Happy to Help" but we still had to wait at least 30 mins for any staff member to be available!!

This is a link to a site which has something similar. It's the 6th one along fromthe left in 'replacement glass shades'
The one we bought from HB is a 36"School House fan 782945 white
HB don't do the spares.
Thanks for your interest
Homebase's Head Office should be able to give you the details of the manufacturer and you could try to get a replacement part from them. However, if the part is broken because it is faulty then Homebase should contact the manufacturers themselves, regardless of whether or not they still stock the item.
Just go to a proper lighting shop and buy as many new shades as you need to match and fit them Not worth messing about with more than that IMHO.

It's probably oneof those 'made in China' jobs!! I think we'll just have to try a proper lighting company as suggested.
We'll be wary of Hombase in future!
I would do like mjwman says and just buy a new set. Take off one of the other shades and take it with you and get a set the same size. You may be able to get a set in a proper lighting store or even in one of the B&Q type stores.
