Friday is curry night

Not always, but mostly we have curry on a friday night. This evening I'm bucking the trend and going veggie.

We will have:-

Cauliflower in a cumin and tomato based sauce
Spring greens stir fried with green chilli and black mustard seeds
Courgette in a spiced gram flour crust
Pilau rice
Chapatti
Carrot salad with mustard seeds
Tomato salad with toasted cumin and coriander
Tamarind raita
Lime pickle and if I can find any mango chutney.

How many settings should I lay at the table???

The Cauli sounds good - I've got one in the veg rack, may have a go at that idea :-)

Battered onion rings would go nicely too I think ?

cauli pilau is nice too grate cauli to rice size grains, boil or steam til just tender and stir in a little melted butter, turmeric, cumin and coriander seeds (crushed up rather than ground) and some chopped coriander leaves

Sounds gorgeous! Unfortunately my wee Nonna has been making her pasta sauce for the past 2 1/2 hours for me so I shall have to take a rain check. Can you post me the leftovers...if you have any?? lol :)

We had our curry last night. Curried chicken with cashew nut veg rice. Lovely. Tonight its Haddock with baby jackets potatoes and tossed salad and a rasberry trifle for afters
