I have a ceramic shower tray with glass enclosure and is so stained with grime and limescale I am having problems getting it cleaned. I have tried all the bleach products with very poor results and using a steamer is making very little impression. Can anyone please suggest anything else

Have you tried a limescale remover, just did my bathroom yesterday and used it on my shower screen and taps ,cleaned up lovely.
I think you will have to use a limescale remover but be aware that these things are mildly acidic and eventually attack the chromium plating on the fittings, making it go green (it will have no impact on either the glass or the ceramic).
Make sure that you remove it from the nooks and crannies of the fittings.
I don't know why so many people reach for chlorine-bleach products whatever they are trying to clean. Bleach will take the colour out of any deposits but will leave the actual deposit. As above, an acidic cleaner- "limescale remover" - is needed to dissolve the otherwise hard, insoluble deposits. But avoid applying to metals and marble.
Lack of basic science taught at school, Gingejbee. Function of bleach as an oxidising agent versus the action of acid on calcium carbonate.
white vinegar....non stick pan scourer not the green type
