Have you got any suggestions for plants/flowers which will do well without too much water. I have an east/south facing garden and would like some suggestions for filling my borders.

Google Beth Chatto .... She is renowned for her East Anglian dried garden plantings ... however , really, if you can get horse manure and dig it in well, you will over time build up a moisture retentive undersoil and provided you water accurately (watering can) for a week or so until plants get away ,they will look after themselves.
