Anybody have a preference on drying methods and their effectiveness?

i.e. driving along the autobahn at 125 mph, genuine chamois leather, synthetic leather, microfibre cloth, etc.

Extra large microfibre towel for mine -but not the wheels,
when the weather permits it - out of direct sunlight hopefully - late afternoon

Synthetic leather for me, it works well and dries out quickly too.
sorry its the "after washing" bit that has me confused? Are you saying that cars get washed?
dont you just drive through the washer and get the warm air blower to dry it while you sit in the car, a lot less effort.

Similar to GSR600, I use a a large soft towel, you need a good polish on the car though, also don't use one on the wheels though, the towel will get dirty.
Wash the car when it is about to rain.

It is rinsed with clear water, so you don't get the hard water white spots.
Hopkirk, that is unless you live in scotland where:

a) we don't have hard water, and
b) it is never about to rain, it is always actually raining!!!
I lived in Scotland for a while, and you are right.

(I loved it anyway)
I unravel the extension lead and use my OH's hairdryer.
Yeah I find a electric leaf blower works for me, you can even buy a piece that goes on the end from online detailing stores that allows more coverage of the car. Make sure to blow around all the lights and handles as this is where all the water seems to hide.
A couple of microfibre towels preferably new does the job just make sure they are new as they seem to hold grit etc.
...you....wash.....a car?....
Am I reading right?
