I'm about to buy some new cushion flooring/lino for my kitchen and bathroom.  I've never bought any before so don't know how these things work:  Is there anything particular I need to look for when I'm selecting it?  Do I need underlay with it?  And if so, is there a special type I need?

Thanks.

The most important thing is that your floor is smooth. hardboard is good for this. Any irregularity in your floor will eventually show up in the cushion flooring regardless of quality. Talk to the man in the shop once you know what your floors are made of. You do not need to spend a lot of money fixing your floor.
