Sorry for being such a 'girl' but I need a new carpet but cant work out how much I need.
It seems to be sold by square metres.
My room is 25ft X 12ft so how many square metres is that?

Many thanks,
Millie

28 square metres
You will probably have to buy carpet that is 8 metres by 4 metres ..... 32 square metres altogether.

Thanks both,
I will ask in the shop when I buy it for the exact metres but as long as I have a rough idea so I can work out how much it will cost roughly.
I disagree with Captain2!

4m is slightly bigger than 12', so a 4m width would be adequate.

Your room is 7.62m long so, assuming that the carpet is sold in multiples of one metre, you'd need to order an 8m length.

i.e. you'd need to buy 32 sq.m.
generally you will have to buy a 4 meter wide carpet but they will let you order in part meters for the length.
The sensible thing is to measure the room metrically.
