I appear to have a hole in the bottom of my radiator in the bathroom, It's dripping fairly fast and is causing a bit of a problem.

Is there anything i can plug it with on a tempory basis. I used to use a substance called milliput putty in my aquarium for sticking rocks together and it sets rock hard under water....could i use this ?

I think the only safe solution is to switch off the feed into the radiator, then use a screwdriver or pliers to switch of the little 'downstream' feed at the other end, place a plastic bowl or similar under the leak and let it empty into that while you summon help.
Changing the rad ;like for like' is not a massive job but you need to know what you're doing and have certain tools handy.
I've just had the same problem. The only 100% remedy - a new rad.
Hattie explains how to change a rad really well:

It may work temporarily. There is still out there you can get to seal pipes in that manner. But if it has this issue I'd go along with all who say you may as well 'bite the bullet' and get it replaced.
