According to my latest copy of Prima magazine, 500,000 British people wash their bedding only three times a year.

Flipping 'eck. I do mine every week.

The stinky buggers. Once a week for me too.
It depends on bedding. I don't wash my quilt cover every week as I use sheets but these get washed regularly, I just love clean sheets.

There's nothing nicer that getting into a freshly made bed. (Well there is, but you know what I mean.)
would that be 500.000 students, get it washed at term ends by mum.
I never wash my sheets (thats womens work) lol
Question Author
It doesn't specify students in the article but that would make sense, gsr.
Looks like it's an old survey, maybe they've had a wash or two since then :)
I'm the same as coccinelle, I have a top sheet because battling with a duvet cover's a bit much every week.

Yes, robinia. It does look like an old survey. It's written about in this coming November's Prima magazine. They are obviously behind the times.
It is a good article though telling you how often pillows and duvets should be washed and what to do with your matress.
I hire out my grandsons to change duvet covers - a bit like slave labour but they are very good at it.
My pillowcases get changed twice a week, the sheets once a week, and the duvet cover once a fornight.

I enlist the help of my OH. I just can't reach the corners by myself. I can't shake it out myself, either.
Put chip clips on the lower corners of the quilt.

Our linen is changed every Friday, like clean bedding.

My best friend died 4 years ago, her other half, now has anybody between his sheets.

And I don't think they get changed!
