Just been told that next door (a council house) has bad woodworm. We are a mid terrace house....connected to them, and we privately own ours.

What's the chance of this spreading as the council apparently has taken ages to sort it and it's still not done.

Is the worm in the floor joists or in the roof?
Good point Howard. Hammers ........ assuming your roofs are continuous with no firewall between you and next door, you just need one of these and some woodworm spray............

Simple DIY job to protect your roof structure.
To be really sure, turn back the carpets and squirt into the gap between the skirting and the boards as well (on the party wall).
