Shop alarms
15 Answers
For the as few weeks I have been setting off the shop alarms as I walk in and out of some shops, mostly the staff can't be arsed to come and investigate so I just walk off, I haven't pinched anything honest. On weds I walked into Tesco in the next town from me, alarm went off on the way in and out, no problem, then Matalan, off it went when I walked in then again when I walked out, security racked through my handbag (not pleasant for them ha), bloody annoying. Could my car keys be setting the alarms off? It's getting to the stage where I get nervous walking into a shop. If it is the keys is there any type of bag I could use as a barrier to stop the signal.
Thanks for any replies.

Although it's unlikely to be your keys, do you carry a door entry swipe card for anywhere on you, it's more likely to be that if you do.

Ha dee bloody haha, you're all comedians.
In a shop last week, the alarm went off twice, then on the third attempt to leave it didn't go off? I'm rarely with anyone when I go shopping so I'll have to wait till I can take little'un with me.
I tried the tin foil today, wrapped the keys in it and went in every shop where I've had a problem, no alarms went off, I'm not getting too excited though a I also changed my handbag.

I had this problem last year soon after buying a new phone. One day in town with my (then) bf I was actually followed round by security guards. It was so embarrassing.
I'd put it down to the phone but after about a month I realised I'd bought some new sunglasses and the little stick security tag was still on the case that came with them. Lol.

When the security guard was racking though my bag the other day he asked if I had any make up in there, he said they're always setting alarms off. No wonder staff don't bother investigating it's. waste of time. One day though, I'm going to be caught bad enough mood and someone'll be sorry when I'm searched. It's very bloody annoying.
