i didnt get my conifer hedge cut last year and it is in desperate need now, when does hedging stop for bird nesting please bluebird

Hello Janet. I'm afraid I know nothing of gardening, but I shall look out for questions from "bluebird" in the future :o)
The guidelines are no cutting between 1st March and 31st July in England and Scotland, 15th March and 31 August in Wales, 1st March and 31st August in N. Ireland
I should point out that if you find a nest that is being built or is in use before these dates it is still an offence to disturb, take, damage or destroy.

Hiya Mr Builder long time no see. Hope you keeping well, yes as soon as the opportunity arose I changed to what I hope is a more feminine name - got fed up with people thinking I was a man!!
