Kumquat Tree

I bought a Kumquat tree about four years ago and kept it indoors until about two years ago. It did bear some small fruits in the first year, although I didn't try them. While outside in its tub, it seems happy and this year is sprouting many more shoots. Is there any liklihood of it producing fruit again, and if so, how can I encourage it to do so?
