Any experts on here that can help me identify a plant if I explain it?

Any chance you could put a picture on here?
The only way to find out is to try it...plant size, leaf shape, flowers size (if any) and place it was growing. A pic would be better though

started off as black papery bulb things, then grew leaves from red looking bulbs. the leaves are whole as they grow from the bulbs but crumpled up and then spread out to huge leaves, more than a foot across. the stems took kind of rhubarb like pinkish/green coloured. its now about 5 foot tall and bigger in width, and has now started growing red/fruit flowers

it looks very similar... leaves are spikier and flower/fruit is redder
what is that? its may be a good place to start a search if i know the name
It's a Gunnera, the leaves are spikey,some of them are huge.

Rheum palmatum would've been my answer. I have one down the garden in a pot that matches your description to a T !!!!!
