Hi there,

I wondered if you could help my wife?  We have white carpets throughout our house.  They were all laid at the same time and look fab.  However, our two year old has been very naughty, stolen a punnet of strawberries when my wife was cooking and squashed them into our white carpets.  Urg.

Anyone have any ideas how to remove them?  The carpets are not 100% wool.

Hi in my question I say strawberries, don't know why, it was actually a punnet of cherries.....I'm not very good with fruits.
eurgh, you were brave getting white carpet with a 2 yr old! we have a white carpet (not through choice, we rent) and a clumsy bf means the carpet is awful, i use 1001 carpet foam, it has a scrubbing brush attatched to it, i have found it very good, do a patch test on unseen carpet though, vanish now also do a carpet spray, havent used it yet, got sick of cleaning after bloke and got a rather large rug! Good luck!

thank you boobesque, I might try that.  I do have a carpet wet cleaner, but didn't want to put anything on it that might set it fast.  1001 might do the trick.  Btw, we didn't lay them, this is a new house we are only the second owners and we inherited them, they are beautiful, but rather like a little black strapless dress-high maintenance.  If the two year old wasn't bad enough, we have FIVE children.  Henc the purchase of a wet/dry carpet cleaner LOL.
wow! 5 mucky *******! we have one for now, and are moving soon! when we buy our house i am getting darker carpets! the white is just too much care!
mr muscle multi surface cleaner (the one suitable for carpets) is fantastic. My 5 year old refuses to tell me when he's made a mess in case he gets into trouble so I usually find the stain after it's dried. Mr Muscle works even then.
