Old Wooden Garden Table And Folding Chairs

When we move into this house the previous people left and old table and chairs in the garden, that look a bit worse for wear, it seems a shame to throw them away, anybody got any ideas how we can restore them or perhaps paint them in bright colours, would they need a lot of rubbing down and primer on them?

Sand them down and either stain them if the wood looks good or undercoat and pain them in colour or your choice

I agree with Mass. Alight rub down, and a couple of coats of coloured stain.
No primer or undercoat needed.

A good, coloured fence paint would do fine...
