I just wondered if it will bend as there is a 10inch difference in space on the stairs. Help!

Depends very much on the type of mattress - some are quite bendy, others don't bend at all.
10" is a hell of a bend
Looks like you'll be taking the bedroom window out:-(
My mattress is in two parts maybe that would be a solution. Unless you've already bought it...
Our superking was actually a zip together so we didn't have a problem at all, it should bend though.
In my limited experience matresses will bend. It's not like you need a right angle fold, a slight curve should get you around.
My husband used to deliver beds and mattresses. He says unless it's a zip together you may have trouble because they don't bend. Apparently they have an internal metal frame to hold the springs and if you bend it you end up with a bulge or dimple in it!
Ar'nt they 2 x 3ft mattresses zipped together?
or, if it's a latex mattress, it will bend quite a bit...
Not necessarily arwyn.
Eccles thanks I'v only ever seen one before. Learn something new every day ..
