hopefully this makes sense

what is the material used in hotel bed linen
so you get
crispy sheets
the duvet sounds "crunchy"
the pillows are nice and thick..

all i can seem to find in the shops are "fluffy" and they dont seem to have the crunch and quility feel of the hotel ones.

would also be nice to know where i can buy them from thank you

I found a lot of what was described as hotel bed linen on eBay by accident last week.

Egyptian cotton, starched at each wash.

Involves a LOT of ironing.

Hotel linen is boiled alive and then starched to death...

Thread count is the reason.

Linen go for the highest thread count you can afford.

For crunchy, bit confused but would suggest that natural feather filled with give you a noisier less fluffy fill than down for both pillows and duvet.

I recommend both Sheridan and White Company.

The higher the thread count the thinner the thread has to be, thus the sheet ends up thinner and softer. Back in the days of council run wash-houses, ('steamies' in Scotland), they had double sheet width hot roller machines that would iron a double sheet flat in one go. With optional added starch, these sheets ended up totally crispy. I've no doubt commercial laundries will still have these roller ironing machines for the like of hotel contract work

There's a company called King of Cotton who supply this kind of thing to the hotel trade and the public. I've used them before, but their website seems to be playing up this morning.
