Morphine Hallucinations
16 Answers
I've had some terrifying ones but most of them are quite entertaining. Some of the better ones include:
A paper towel dispenser that turned into a talking horses head.
A Chinese dance troupe performing at the end of my bed (no one else in the ward would applaud them and I couldn't understand why as they were very good)
A blank wall that turned into my own personal TV screen but only showed episodes of The Woodentops
Have you had any interesting experiences?

Being chased around a blood drenched doorless room by two parents with an axe who were screaming - you have killed our child !
Being dead and demanding to be buried - even the very busy nurses noticed there was something wrong with that one
The snake scene in one of those Harrison Ford films....
Passing a nursing mother - fortral this time - who was suckling a suckling pig dressedup as a child. I went home and locked the door after that one

I was dozing off about 20 mins ago and found myself talking out loud and having a perfectly reasonable discussion with Arthur Lowe (wearing his Dad's Army uniform)
Right time to get dressed. I hope Michael Jackson isn't lurking in the bathroom wanting to teach me how to moonwalk again. He is such a pest!

so you'e back again. how are the mackerel and the marigolds?
after my op i had a tube that gave me morphine on demand. avoided it as much as i could but do remember that fully rigged sailing ships passing at the end of the bed were interesting along with the lad in the crow's nest calling he coud see land but pointing in opposite direction to me.
people behind a brown door (in an open ward) letting their little dogs nonstop.
watching the nurses compete in a dance of the seven veils.
There were 6 of us in the ward - one who was very frail and elderly was asleep most of the time - four of us got on well and one who complained about everything and everyone about not being able to cope, needed help at home but not fair mother, would not be able to work (she had hurt, not broken her foot) in an office, how was she going to cook meals, have a bath, etc, etc. i think you get the message.
oh yes WELCOME BACK.
