I'm also pregnant (9-10 weeks) and have been advised by my hairdresser that the foils are safe during pregnancy but if you feel unsure maybe wait until your second trimester or give it a miss all together. I think i will be giving it a miss just to be on the safe side.
when i was pregnant i asked my hairdresser about this and she told me the reason they dont advise it was because the dye can take to your hair differently because of hormones so it can alter the colour.
I was told the same as "blueeyedlass".
On 'The Baby House' recently Mirian Stoppard says it's best not to dye your hair at all during pregnancy because your scalp is very porous and hair dye has lots of chemicals in.
