Depends on the circumstances. Not if there was anything better going, but you describe a situation where it would work for you. One can not be fussy when first getting on the property ladder and you think you'll make on it eventually too. Which is a bonus.
No. I love my garden, and would rather have a smaller house than a big house with a tiny garden.
in essence, that makes it an upstairs flat, since its garden is so negligible. This may be why it's affordable. How soes its price compare to large upstairs flats?

If it's to sell on to get to greater things go for it. Personally outside space is more important top me than inside space and a four bed is likely to appeal to people with children who might feel the same unless you plan to rent it on a room share basis.
In a word, no. If it`s good for you then fine but if you are thinking re-sale, then you might find it`s a bit slow to sell. Then again, you can sell anything if the price is right.
Are there any parks or playspaces nearby? What is the location like generally? We lived in a house like that in Surrey years ago. We had no kids (bought the house because DH moved with his job, we got a subsidised mortgage so worth buying the biggest house we could afford) It was in St John's in a lovely villagey non estate setting outside Woking It was close to the village green, easy bus access to Woking, nice shops and between two train stations. We had no trouble at all selling it.
Am amazed by the size of "gardens" offered with new 5 bed executive houses around here (Newmarket). When I queried this, the developer told me that executives only wanted a space big enough for the children to play safely in .

You may well find that this is very saleable in due course.
The other thing to consider is what the schools are like. I am assuming a detatched house?
I would (obviously) assume that the price of a 4 bedroom house with a very small garden, would be less than a 4 bedroom house with a decent size garden.
If a family wanted/needed a 4 bedroom house, but couldn't afford the price of the one with the larger garden, I'm sure that they would consider the one with the smaller garden ...... if the price was right !!
whats 2mx3m in old money ? 4 bedrooms id say best for a family , and bigger garden required,
Some people don't want the faff of doing a garden. Are you concerned for yourself or for selling it on later?
We rent a four bed house with a tiny garden, but I wouldn't buy one (they did try to sell this house before we started renting it and I suspect the garden might have been off-putting for some people).
2m x 3m? Not a chance, whys it so small?

its been extended into an already small garden
i would prefer a garden and would sacrifice space in the house for it. As it's your forst purchase, how about starting with a 2 bedder?
So basically you've got a ground floor balcony
I agree with prudie, some people aren't bothered about a big garden, as long as you have a wow factor inside you could get away with it. There may be some way you could make the outside look more inviting maybe a water feature or well placed interesting pots and planters. Busy career people wouldn't worry about gardening.
are you buying it to live in or sell?
What's at the "end" of the garden, if it was a small fence and then fields then it wouldn't be so bad, if its a high fence or wall then it'll look like a dungeon
