Ideas For A Room...

Hi I have decorated one of my bedrooms with a Union Jack / London theme and last week found a colourful bowl that I had to have in there. The question is what to put in it (something decorative) its cereal bowl size and melamine . All i can think of is pot pourri , I wondered if anyone would have any ideas please? It is going to be a guest bedroom .Thanks in advance

Seeing as it's a guest room, how about some individually wrapped mini soaps or fill it with sweets / chocolates when you do have people staying.

Pot pourri would work, glass beads, coins, mints, small shampoos/shower gels. Or leave it empty for their keys etc.

Collect some nice pebbles and paint them.

does it have to have anything in it? Personally as a guest I would find an empty dish quite useful, to pop change in, or things from OH's pocket.

if you just want to add something decorative you could get reels of cotton or bottles of nail varnish in red white and blue
or if you want something they could use look out for little tins or pots of toiletries in those colours , Nivea comes in bright blue and I am sure I have seen red colourd items in Boots, and cotton wool balls for white

"Quality Street". Just pick out the colours you need. Like having a 'chocolate on the pillow' but kinder to the teeth!
