Solar Panels
2 Answers
I am still looking for info on Solarking UK. But to date, other than their adverts I have not found anything for or against them. I have heard just one thing they have recently installed a 2KW PV system on a 3 bed detached house. I am surprised at this because I thought that whilst you can have small installation if that's what you want, but I was lead to believe that the optimum system to earn any money would be about 3KW/4KW.
Have I got this wrong??

The appointment was made by phone and in the call I was asked to make a note of a "special" number which at the appropriate time was to give to my visitor.
I decided that I would follow the advice given by Which in their: "Solar PV installation checklist". i.e. establish "whether the caller is a sales person or a surveyor". My visitor arrived and so I asked the question. My visitor responded to the question by saying. " I am not a rep. I am not surveyor. I am the connection manager".
Eventually, after the sales pitch, I was given the price i.e. £9,999 this was for the installation of 12 PV panels. I then played the master stroke; I gave the man my magic number given to me by Solarking (this number was obviously the key to open the discount door. So I thought.)
My visitor ignored the number saying effectively " give me the order now and then I will tell what the discount is". I asked how much is the discount. His response, give me the order first. I explained that he was the first person to quote for the work and I would not decide until I had two further quotes.
The connection manager replied then I am wasting my time.
I showed the Connection Manager the door, which I closed firmly behind him.
