Why is it that when I put a question on AB it goes to latest posts, shows once then doesn't come round again and yet other questions by other members go round over and over again. I have posted a few q lately and not had any answers they just disappear, they show up on the main page but I don't get any answers.

'Latest posts' shows the 6 latest postings, both questions and answers, not just questions.
A question pops back into 'latest' each time it is answered, so no answers means it drops off the latest list , unless you post to bring it back up for another try.

I'm running around trying to answer all your posts.
Check them now. Sorry I don't know anything about fish.
Hey you've had a reply on this one, kendra.

You're allowed to post an answer which reads 'bump' a couple of times which puts it back into latest posts.
People can still see your questions once they've dropped off the latest posts on the right, by going to topics, so there is always a chance someone will see and answer it.
It's not usual to use the word 'bump' on here to get posts back on the Latest Posts list. I think it sounds a bit abrupt. Far better just to post a reply saying "Has anyone had chance to look at this yet please?.
Not everyone relies on Latest Posts. Some posters (like me) trawl through sections that interest them and look out for unanswered questions
Also people can go on the home page of AB (by clicking on the The AnswerBank logo, top left) and selecting Unanswered Questions. There are quite a few.
