In the house..... (Not talking IT, PC's or Tv's) Something you find aesthetically beautiful that you just wouldn't like to be without?

Mine's an old cast iron roll top bath.....I love it, it fits like a glove and feels lovely.

my family photos, irreplaceable
nothing really. I could walk out and leave the lot provided i have my dogs. All my photos are on the lappy.
My Kindle
woof, what happens if you lose the lappy..
can't you replace the Kindle, B00? And get back the stuff you've got on it? If it fell under a bus, I mean.
well yes, but that goes for everything dunnit jno?

Apart from kindle....my pjs and slippers !
ah but Mazie specifically excluded IT
oh, well, if my family photos vanished I'd be in trouble. I'm in the process of getting all the old ones digitised now (what, about 10 years late) but if the house burns down tomorrow I'll be terribly upset.

I don't think anything else is truly irreplaceable.

All IT is excluded.... it's something warm and lovely that you just love to look at and/or feel (careful!). Something that makes you feel you're home
my bed :)

Ahhh... Snap anne, that's another thing I love and wouldn't want to be without...although it would be a tough call between that and the bath :o(
I have a big wooden block perpetual calendar on my kitchen wall. It's shabby chic and I usually hate shabby chic, but this is gorgeous.

So handy too, when you're prone to forgetting what day, date and month it is. A fabulous buy from eBay.

photos taken over the last nineteen years of my god-daughters, at various ages
I love my bed. And my sofas- they are old and battered, but very comfortable. I don't spend nearly enough time with them!
My bed and all my photos would be greatly missed if I never see them again.
My bed and cosy warm dressing gown are the light of my life. lol
I always sleep best in my own bed!

That's the sort of thing I mean mrs chappie, something that just makes you feel you're home....I have a very, very old stew pan that belonged to my mother in law (she would have be 101 this year) It's not aesthetically beautiful, but I use it a lot and would hate to be without it.

With me it would be my dogs and a Moorcroft table lamp inherited from my Mum.
