Hi all - looking for advice here - I am getting the wall dresser converted to be a part of the new kitchen ie new doors etc.

There are loads of glasses, some small tea-sets - stuff that I never use.

I know this is stupid of me what shall I hold back - should I bring the glasses etc up to Charity shop or throw them out completely.

If it is charity shop it would take me ages to load and unload into shop and would charity shop want them. Thanks

Deja vu !
Conne, they should collect if there is a lot of stuff and you're not able to transport it. Yes, they'd want them - nobody should ever bin something which can be of use or collectible by someone else.
The charity shops will be glad of them. Please don't bin them.
Why not ask if they are interested first before carting them down there ?
Can't see why they'd reject them though.
Conne is there Freecycle in Ireland? I gave away loads of stuff and people just come and collect it and are very grateful.

Hold on, some of the family might like those things, Charity does begin at home.

thanks guys for your answers - I could transport - but you know glasses are fragile and I certainly will not be assed in wrapping them individually in papers etc. I will ask charity shop if they want them and I shall be careful.

No poorclare - none of my family would want these - young ones want everything to be new.
I get rid of lots on freecycle !
Try Freecycle,it seems to work very well for a lot of things.
young ones do not want everything new!!

Put them on gumtree or ring up the local cancer research shop there is one on the omagh road they should collect from you!

old geezer - you know charity shops can be limited for space but will wait and see - God I want rid of them now. Never used half of them. There are some crystal that was bought for me - of course will keep those and a few other things. OMG - how did I accumulate so much.

I do be cheeky now and tell people please don't buy me anything ornamental again. My neighbour knows I am coming down with the stuff and she bought me last Xmas another ornament. I could not believe it. My sister took it and she put it somewhere nice. God help us all when she goes as she has loads loads loads loads and everything is shining. You would just send for one those house people (senior moment). LOL
Ask the charity shop (if they are interested) if they have a volunteer who'd be prepared to come and pack them if you are not able to. Or give them to some centre or shelter who can use them. or put them in a box outside your house with "please take" - we get rid of stuff that way in our street!
