Gurgling Noise.
7 Answers
My shower drain is making a gurgle sound when I use the hand wash basin. I did a google search and some sites say it's a blockage that can be cleared with chemicals. Should I try this and what chemical should I use? I dont really want to call out a plumber! Thanks.

It turned out to be a blockage in the outside soilpipe (probably a toilet paper jam) and the next thing I know, the bathwater was coming up in the basin, and then foolishly I flushed the loo and it refilled all over the floor. Keep a close eye on it!
I put some hair removal cream down the plughole now and again just a dab and let it sit a while ( overnight ) before rinsing away. Hair, apparently is the main culprit in blocking up bathroom drains. By putting some Nair ( from the pound shop ) down the drain it keeps it clear. It might be worth trying some drain and plughole before that . Good luck.
