what is really the most economical in a choice of gas central heating (combi boiler), oil central heating, and between wood burning stove (if you paid for the fuel) or a gas living flame wood burner style stove - or just a traditional fire in the fire place.
I am always told gas is cheaper than oil but I tried oil for a while and sure it was cheaper.

I would consider the 'A' rated gas condensing boiler to be the most efficient option.

If you want something different, wood pellets (boiler) is still cheaper than all of them....... after you've paid the rather high cost of the installation.
