Wood, brackets, raw plugs and a level. Start with the top one, make sure you leave adequate space below it for your storage needs before you put up the next one.

There's not too much to shelving Ric, what are your concerns?

Well it's the whole unit I need to make
Freestanding
What sort of things will you be storing mostly. Gardening stuff? fishing equip? Tools and DIY bits? Other? Just for an idea of size and weight.

Well some will have Chrissy decorations and then there is my shoe and clothes collection
Then there's the usual stuff (strimmers etc)
Make sure you can still open the car door. Unless your car has a sun-roof, of course.
I'd go with something like this, with either a tool rack or hooks on the ends for hanging strimmers etc
