I have laminated a few rooms recently, including heavy-duty bathroom quality in my kitchen. How do you clean them ?  (I know there's loads of info on the web but I thought I'd ask anyway). I've tried special Floormaster laminate wipes (B and Q) but they make the floor appear smeary particularly when viewed against incoming sunshine and I had to rub really hard with a soft duster to restore the sheen. A friend uses soapy water - but I thought water on laminate floors was a no-no. What do people do ?

I have researched this on earlier questions now (should have done it first) and got a few good answers, but any new tricks welcomed.
Lakeland Limited do an excellent laminate floor cleaner, which is smear free as long as your cleaning implement is clean - I use a Vileda sponge on a long handle.  Trick is to make sure you sweep floor well first, and make sure your sponge is reduced of as much water as possible.  Also found best to try and clean in straight lines rather than circles - for some reason reduces the smears!

Thank you, I will try that.

Using boiling water also helps, it dries much quicker. I just use cheap lemon houshold cleaner and have had no problems at all.
