Drilling Through Double Glazing Window Frames.
I am installing a CCTV camera outside, and was told today that you shouldn't drill through the above as it could damage the entire window frame.
It would have to be a large hole about 1 and a quarter inches diameter to allow the cable with a fixed adapter.
If I go through the cavity wall, I would have to buy a large masonry drill which are expensive, to just use once.

I must admit that I would be inclined to cut the cable, send it through a small hole in the window frame, and re-connect with the right kind of screened connector.
I understand Meths' concern in his case. His situation is very rare... obviously remedial, putting right something resulting from very poor design originally.
To be sure.... how old is the house?
