Process Of A Structural Survey
Hi everyone,
I'm a first time buyer along with my other half and we've just had our offer accepted and mortgage approved on a house, WOO HOO!
We're just planning the next step of getting a surveyor in to complete a full structural survey (having considered all the options we've decided to be safe and go with the full one) and I was wondering if anyone can fill me in on the usual process of events regarding this.
The main thing that I am wondering is:
Do I give the surveyor we've chosen the estate agents details and let them organise the survey between them? or do I get in touch with the buyers and organise it all between us?
I'm assuming that we should also just plough on and get this all organise while the solicitors are getting their side of things organised rather than wait about but if anyone has any other tips or helpful advice it would be gratefully accepted!

I also think its easier to keep the relations between buyer and seller on a friendly but formal basis.
