Identifying A Shrub

I have a shrub in the garden which I have always called a mock orange blossom. Talking to someone today they told me that a mock orange blossom is a Philidelphus, which I also have.

The shrub I am asking about is an evergreen and at the moment it is smothered in beautiful, fragrant blooms. Can anyone tell me what it actually is.

All you've actually told us, Tilly2 is that you've got an evergreen shrub, which is in flower. That's not a lot to go on!

Ideally take a picture and upload it to Tinypic.com, posting a link here for us to see. If that's impossible, tell us the size of the shrub, the size and shape of its leaves, the size, shape and colour of it flowers, etc. Then we might be able to make some suggestions.

I know it's not a lot to go on, Chris. I just thought that there might be another well known shrub which was called mock orange blossom as well.

I'll take a picture tomorrow, it's piddling down here at the moment.

Mexican Orange Blossom, not Mock Orange Blossom. I was nearly right.

That's fine then but my two links both go to evergreen varieties of Philadelphus. (They're not all deciduous, just the majority of them).

Chris, your third link was to an evergreen Philadelphus but it was a climber. Mine is just a shrub. I would like one of those though. They look lovely.
