Exterior Door With Side Bar?

sorry but I am a bit confused about this as I have not seen/heard of it but I want to replace my front door with new possibly composit one and someone told me about one which on the inside you either press or push a button or lever which brings out a bar that locks into the frame where the locking mechanism is and it keeps the door slightly open so you can get air and this is instead of having a chain on, if this makes any sense to anyone would like pics on internet if possible, thanx

You just unclip it to let the door open fully. It fits to the top edge of the door.

it could possibly do the job but I was under the impression that the push button or lever was on the inside front of the door (so it can be reached by elderly or height resisted person like myself) rather than inside so to speak but will ask other half to have a look at it when he comes hope but much appreciated builder
