Plague Of Pigeons
6 Answers
I leave out peanuts for the tits, niger seeds for the finches, and bird seeds for the two robins I see every day, but am fed up shooing away the pigeons.
Sometimes there might be six of them at a time. I never had this problem any other year.
Thanks all in advance

I have a similar problem with pigeons.
One solution would be to put the food in feeders, so that only the small birds can get at it. The pigeons will prob still come, as the smaller birds tend to drop food on the floor when they're feeding from the feeders, but you'll find it'll certainly cut back their numbers and the frequency of their visits.

Having feeders doesn't deter the pigeons in my garden (there's a lot more than 6 of them) they simply send one up to hang on and flap it's wings like fury. The seed sprays everywhere and they all have a feast.
I've found the best thing is to buy some cheap food and throw it down for them. Big and small birds, they all seem to do well somehow.
