Conservatory Flooring

We have just had a new conservatory built. Don't know what to put on the floor.

Really want ceramic tiles, but because I am a Registered Childminder we are worried about children falling and bumping their heads.

Any other Childminders had any problems with tiles? Should we play safe and use Laminate?

I personally wouldn't be too worried about it. There are many other non-obvious hazzards such as radiators. Kids can fall over on the pavement outside too. If just spoken to my wife who gave up childminding this year and she said as long as there is no slip or trip hazzards such as loose rugs or any chips, it should be fine.

No. but I think the children should play safe, u can get a type of flooring that looks like laminate but is infact soft impact vinyl which would be ideal, and depending on where you bought it, and here i would recommend a larger diy chain, you can always have a full refund should it not suit your requirements, B&Q are good on refunds I understand.

Agree with dothawkes about soft vinyl sheet [Cushionfloor].  We put ceramic tile effect vinyl on top of our concrete floor.  No problems whatsoever.
