Ring the company and ask them to make and fit the correct sized blinds.
The shop should have given you a copy of the order form on which they wrote down clearly the dimensions which you gave them - check that, first - or ask them to send you a copy of the order form.

I must admit that this is something I'd never do myself. We always use Hillary's Blinds (and I have no connection with them, this isn't an advert) and they come and measure up themselves, so if anything's wrong it's their fault. They take into account the depth of the fixtures, everything, so it's not just the windows which you measure (but I am sure you know this).

First step - ask for a copy of the order form, and check it against the written measurements which you gave them.

Have you paid yet? I hope not, other than a deposit if required!

all has been paid for allready.

one last question, wondering if its a big job to have them cut at the bottoms, a bit taken off them as wife has told me some blinds were too long.

thankyou
I think it would be a job for the shop if they are shortened, as it'll all have to be rethreaded. I'd go back to them, as mentioned above, and check the measurements against what they've provided.

I'm surprised you paid up front, I wouldn't ever pay in full for anything until I was satisfied with the whole job - it does give you less bargaining power. Good luck, though!
As has been said you need to look at what information you provided the blind company ans what was put on the order form which your presumably signed to confirm the order.

Once you have checked that then the blinds need to be measured and compared to what was agreed.

As far as adjusting them goes it will depend entirely on the style of blind, and if they are longer than specified in the original order it is for the supplier to resolve.

Can your wife not take comparative measurements?
so what happened, dick?
