How would you feel bout buying a house near a railway line?

not if i had any other options at all
Might depend on the traffic on it. Trains passing at all hours of the day and night would put me off.
It doesn't take long to adjust to the noise of the trains but the long term effect of the vibration on the property would be my concern.
I live next to a railway bridge, and I barely notice the trains
Oh and forgot to say I think there are cargo trains pass through all night and I never hear them
i have always lived near railway lineas. no problems
Depends how you define "near"...
I live across the road from the railway line. You don't really notice the trains, we get used to stopping mid conversation when one goes passed if out in the garden. Have freight trains twice a day, yeah house does vibrate. Last train at midnight, first at 6.00 am.
I wouldn't buy a house near a railway line.
