Make sure any water can run through, they won't like standing in the wet, hopefully your pots have good drainage. Water when the compost has dried, probably every day at the moment.
Water daily, but do not let water stand on the soil. To make sure soil drains well; choose a pot has good drainage. Avoid watering with cold water during the winter.
