Cost To Put Laminate Flooring In A Kitchen V Tiles

Hi,
Am selling a house that has lino in the 11ft 2 x 11ft 7 kitchen / diner, and carpet in the lounge, 13ft 10 x 11ft 7. Would anyone be able to give me rough idea how much it might be to replace the lino with laminate flooring, and how it would compare to having tiles fitted. Including labour. And would it be more "saleable" with laminate flooring in the lounge too, with costs. Overall, is it worth the expense ;)

If it's just for sale and your current carpet is not showing off the room to its best then I'd lay a cheap carpet - that's the approach they take on the property programmes - remember it's just cosmetic and not to pick something expensive that you'd lay if you were staying, including the hard flooring.
Personally, I do like the look of laminate and may well put it in my own tiny little kitchen but I don't think it's practical in the lounge. Gotta put mats down to stop slip sliding around which, to me, gets away from the look of it. And I don't my cat'd be enamored, spinning around ;)
As far as the place I'm selling goes, the target market is possibly a professional single or couple, probably a 1st time buyer. Or my mate who desperately wants a 2 bed in the area (we met when we both lived in that road !) but the prices are fast getting out of her reach :( Looks like a lot of expense if it may actually put people off, but if people DO like it, having it already done would make it more appealing. Hmmm ...
