I already have a laminated wooden floor down in my lounge, I am changing it from Mohogany to oak, do I have to lift the floor that is down or can I lay the new one on top of the floor that is down.

I have a conservatory with a suspended floor (steel joists) so I put two layers of chipboard down and then the laminate - it worked weel and gave me a bit more stability.
PS If you want a really nice looking oak floor, look at the kind that has bevelled edges to each board - it looks much more realistic.
