Property Boundries Free On-Line?

I rent my house from local authority but my neighbour has bought their house. They want to put up a fence between our properties and i want to check what the correct boundary is as i am worried they might try to take more garden than they are entitled to.

I have seen i can purchase the title plan from Land Registry for £3 but wondered if there was a site i can view the boundaries from on-line for free?

No, the Land Registry makes great stay of the point that their title plans show what are described as General Boundaries, and you cannot scale off them.
Within reason (I'd say within 40cm), the boundary is where you and he agree to fix it.
Get out there with him, agree the position and mark it with little stakes.
If he's a windy sort of individual and you think he might ask the contractor going the fence to go over a little, take photos, or make sure you are around when the fence goes up.
The posts must wholly be in his land.
